Day trip to Essaouira from Agadir
A 3 hours drive from Agadir takes you to the medieval-looking town Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador. The authentic medina is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Before arriving in Essaouira we stop for a nice view of the white city and the Atlantic Ocean. A first visit is a picturesque harbor where in the morning fishing boats unload their catch of the day and where the fish is sold by the bid. There is still a small wharf where wooden boats are built. A walk on the Scala with its bronze cannons rewards you with magnificent views over the harbor and Mogador Island. The walk continues over the city walls where you get an overview of the Medina with its narrow streets and white houses with blue shutters. The Medina is home to numerous art galleries, handicraft shops, workshops where carpenters make the finest objects from the thuja wood, souks of spices, silver, and precious stones. Also worth a visit is the Mellah which is the Jewish Quarter in the northern part of the town and the museum Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah which holds a collection of old crafts, weapons, jewelry, musical instruments, carpets, and beautiful silk costumes. Taste the fresh grilled seafood in one of the local restaurants at the port or the medina and have a walk on the beach or a camel ride before heading back to your hotel in Agadir.

The Dades valley Excursion
Departure to visit the beautiful Dades Valley starts in the lush oasis of palm gardens in Skoura to visit the Kasbah of Ameridill. In this valley are cozy villages and fortifications with graceful towers. We then drive along the Dades Valley, one of the most picturesque roads in the south of the country also called the route of 1000 Kasbahs.
Things to do in Skoura (Dades Valley):
A visit to the valley of the Dades starts at the fertile oasis of Skoura which is characterized by a beautiful palm grove. In this valley are charming villages and fortified buildings with decorated towers.
Around Skoura you encounter a surprising amount of roses cultivated against the verges. They are of the kind “Baldi,” a pretty strong-smelling rose. From the leaves, rosewater is produced in a factory in El Kalat M’gouna, where there is a rose festival in April.
The oasis of Skoura has a few notable clay buildings, set against the beautiful backdrop of the High Atlas. Above Skoura, on the left side of the road, stands the 17th-century Kasbah Ben Morro which is now restored into a hotel. Another impressive kasbah is Kasbah Amerhidil, which was owned by the Glaoui family. From this kasbah, there is a magnificent view of the river. Further to the east lies Ait Abou which is constructed in 1968. The building consists of six floors and 25 m high walls.
Valley of Roses and Dades Gorge Excursion:
Departure from Ouarzazate towards the palm gardens of Skoura to visit the Kasbah of Ameridil.Later, we drive along Dades valley, one of the most wonderful roads in Southern Morocco, it is also known as the road of 1000 Kasbah. We continue our journey to the Valley of Roses and drive off-road for about 20 km to reach the Dades Valley where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we visit the Dades Gorge and have a one-hour walk in this amazing valley admiring special rock formations which look like monkey fingers.

India is not only renowned for its musical movies industry knows as Bollywood and its Taj Mahal. There are many other fascinating sites in India that can be a great choice for your holiday destination this season. If you are not so interested in spending most of your vacation on the white sandy beaches, then a historical tour in India is more likely to give you a totally different experience. Rajasthan can be a perfect destination for you to quench your thirst about the historical tourism of this country. This place is home to a number of forts and palaces and I have to point out Chittorgarh Fort as the one of the most interesting sites to visit.
The Chittorgarh Fort has the most interesting history compared to many other forts in the area. The Mori Rajput ruler, Chitrangad is known as the initial builder of this historical fort. The following ruler of Rajput, Raja Ajay Pal from the Sisodia clan managed to make some important improvements on the fort. Under this Rajput ruler, the people of Rajput had to witness three major battles that claimed so many lives. To put it briefly, the Chittorgarh Fort is an interesting tourist site full of historical values as it is seen as a living testimony to the great struggles of the Rajput rulers in fighting for their rights and land against the invaders.
Interesting Tourist Attractions at Chittorgarh Fort
This tourist destination in India has been very famous for many different tourist attractions. A single visit or day at Chittorgarh Fort might not be sufficient to discover all the fascinating parts of the historical fort. It would be best if you stay in this area for several days and make sure that you can come up with a nice hotel accommodation to make your vacation more enjoyable.
You can find a number of historical palaces in the area of Chittorgarh Fort. Each of them has their own unique structures as well as historical stories. Let us take the Kunwar Pade ka Mahal palace for example. It was built in the year of 1450 was meant for the prince of Chittor. The fact that this palace is shaped in S arches and made from the beautiful blue tiles has made it a gorgeous building to look at.
Another great palace in the Chittorgarh Fort is the one made for Rani Padmini known as the white building. The Rani Padmini's palace features a crown on the top and is surrounded by the water. Even though the monument you see today is the reconstructed version of the original structure, the authority has done a great job in preserving its historical values. Near the location of the white building, you will find an artificial pond named the Bhimlat Kund. This pond was dedicated to Bhima, the strongest Pandawa brother.
There are many other interesting sites in the Chittorgarh Fort that you need to visit including Fateh Prakash, Fort Temples and Naulakha Bhandar. Make sure that you have several days in your schedule so that you can visit all of them.

The world, as you know it, is home to a plethora of exciting place for travelers. If you think you have visited most of the exciting tourist destinations in the world, you might need to think again. There are many other fascinating yet little known tourist sites on this planet that are waiting for your discovery. Some of them could be a great place for an extraordinary vacation. Let us take the pink lake in Western Australia. The popularity of this lake is surely nowhere near Sydney Opera House or Melbourne city, that what makes this place a hidden treasure of Western Australia.
A Quick History of The Pink Lake
Thanks to an explorer named Matthew Flinders and his journals, the pink lake in Middle Island, Western Australia has gained more popularity. The explorer made his journey in 1802 as he climbed the highest peak in the Middle Island area, later known as the Flinders Peak. His initial purpose was to survey the surrounding waters and he finally noticed a totally different view of a lake later known as the Lake Hillier. Middle Island itself is known as the largest island in the Recherche Archipelago in Western Australia. Since the Lake Hillier and Middle Island are situated in a pristine wilderness, it would be very hard for us to get the best view of the pink lake from the land. You can treat your eyes with the amazing view of the lake from the air. Once you are above the location of the Lake Hillier, you will not believe your own eyes as you see a solid bubble gum pink below. If you have more interest in exploring the beauty of the island and its wildlife, then taking on a cruise from Esperance would be the best option.
More About The Pink Lake
Once you arrive at the location of the Lake Hiller, you must think that someone has tipped in an enormous amount of pink dye to make the lake pink. In fact, the color of the lake is mostly associated with a natural phenomenon. It is strongly believed that the pink color comes from the high concentration of algae in that lake. While many a number of scientists relate the pink color of the water to the bacteria in the salt crusts. The unique view of the lake has drawn plenty of visitors from many different countries on the planet each year. Thus, the increasing Lake Hillier tourism has become very beneficial to the local people surrounding the region.
With 600 meters of length, the pink lake is situated in the middle of the a rim of sand and eucalyptus trees and dense of woodland of paperbark. This interesting and pink tourist site is separated from the blue Southern Ocean by a narrow strip of sand dunes well covered with green vegetation.
There are plenty of leisure activities that you can do to make the most of your pink lake visit. Being located near Esperance, visiting the pink lake has made it very possible for you to enjoy kayaking.
